Canalside Inn Travel Update to Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Dear Friends of Canalside Inn,
The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak to be a global pandemic. The health and well-being of our guests, team members and all who visit Canalside Inn is are highest priority. We are aware of the confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state of Delaware and our monitoring the situation closely. For Delaware specific updates please visit: de.gov/coronavirus
Anyone displaying symptoms should seek immediate medical care and refrain from travel. Anyone who has been exposed to COVID-19 is asked to self-quarantine at home for 14 days. This protocol will be in place for any future cases that may arise.
Out of an abundance of caution and care for our community, we have made the decision to practice social distancing. Our staff will refrain from entering your room from check-in to check-out. Our rooms and building are equipped with keyless entry. We will continue to operate with our virtual check in system.
Our normal office hours 8am to 5pm are still in place. If something is needed from our customers, we offer a “Leave at My Door,” protocol. This is a flexible option for guests to receive linens, toilet paper, tissue paper etc… while limiting exposure of others during the COVID-19 events. Feel free to call/text us during your stay.
We are doing everything we can to ensure your travel safety and provide maximum flexibility as the situation around novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve. Coronavirus is spread through close personal contact, so it is important for the community to maintain a healthy social distance from others. Limit your exposure to large gatherings, practice good personal hygiene and stay home if you feel sick. Members of at-risk populations — older adults or those with long-term health issues — should strongly consider social distancing.
We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. For information on the virus please visit the World Health Organization (WHO)and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
- We have increased the frequency of cleaning our public areas (including lobbies, door handles & keypads, public bathrooms, etc.) and have continued the use of hospital-grade disinfectant, hydrogen peroxide, Branch Basic Cleaners, Clorox and other products to clean our Inn.
We encourage guests with questions regarding upcoming reservations to contact [email protected]
Sincerely,
Bryan & Kristen Deptula
