“The best pet friendly place we have ever stayed at. Wooden floors (vs. carpeting) keep the room from smelling like other places that allow pets. The park just across the way is perfect when your dog needs to…..(Great for a smoke if you smoke while out with your pet.) Easily within walking distance of ocean. Easy to find, right between 1A & 1B access off Rte1. Owner’s become family. You’ll love their dog “SKY”. Just a wonderful get-away”

“My husband and I just returned from Canalside Inn, where we have spent summer getaways with our dog for the last 12 years. We love the unique charm of the Inn as well as its quiet but convenient location – one block from Rehoboth Ave. (the main drag) and 6 blocks from the beach. A small public park across the street is available for walking dogs.
On this visit we met the delightful new owners and were excited to find that everything we love about the Inn is still in place, along with some wonderful additional amenities; for example, two new queen mattresses in the room we usually request, and an outside bicycle rack with bikes for use by guests.
This was our first outing since the pandemic hit, and we were so pleased to see how much attention had been paid to COVID-19 guidelines. The room and bathroom were sparkling clean, and no employee was allowed to enter the room during our visit. Check-in and out were done virtually. Social distancing and masks were part of any encounter with staff. We felt entirely safe during our visit. We will be returning at least three more times this summer and cannot wait!!!

“Anyone that has traveled with their pet knows the challenges of finding a nice, clean, welcoming hotel. The Canalside Inn is a jewel. The room we had was very spacious, clean and comfortable. All of the hotel rules were explained both in the website, and by one of the proprietors upon our arrival. When we needed room service, we would put the sign on the door as we left for the day, and the room was serviced while we were out. The bathroom was bright and clean with a large walk in shower. The Inn is on a quiet side street, and while it was possible to walk into town, we chose to drive knowing we would be doing a lot of walking on the beach and to all the great little beach shops. … Any time I return to Rehoboth, I will plan to stay at the Canalside Inn, regardless of whether I am traveling with a pet … It’s a wonderful little Inn.”

“Canalside Inn is a quaint, little place in a perfect quiet location. Their attention to detail is amazing. We had a pet-friendly room and details like having a dog bowl, a sheet for the dog, a wet pad were not overlooked. The room was super clean with a modern decor. The whole place is adorable and we loved it.”

“This was an off season stay in early Jan. Very peaceful and quiet place to stay in Rehoboth. This is certainly the place to stay if you have a dog. Super dog friendly and had everything ready for our pooch upon arrival – crate, dog towel, bowl. It was a rainy weekend, so we used the room as a comfortable retreat. Owners were very welcoming. We would stay again.”
