The facility has both a 34′ Tall Climbing Wall and a 50’x24′ Bouldering Wall and all the equipment you need to climb to rent for the day! Bring a Friend to Climb With

Everything is more fun with others, especially new experiences that may be daunting on your own! Bring those you’re vacationing with to RISE Gym to climb the rock wall and be each other’s spotters while climbing. Canalside Inn can even transport your group to the gym in our party bus designed for group outings! Did you bring your pet with you to your vacation, well we have the perfect solution! While you’re away let us at Canalside Inn take your furry friend on a walk so that your whole group can enjoy the gym.

Learn from Other Experienced Climbers

One of the best ways to learn how to think like a climber is to observe other more skilled climbers on the wall. See how they move and the paths they take to guide you when making your first attempts. Head to the gym to observe those climbing to get a good idea of what to do! You can also do some research online using the Canalside Inn’s complimentary wifi to learn a bit more about the technical skills and lingo behind the sport.

Taking Breaks

Rock climbing is hard work! It’s important to give your body rest after climbing and ease into the sport. Before and after climbing, always remember to stretch to warm your muscles. RISE offers foam rollers, a TrueStretch cage, and a dedicated elevated stretching table to loosen up before and after your workouts, all you could need to prepare for the workout! A great way to soothe your sore muscles after climbing is to treat yourself to an in-room massage at the Inn!
