There’s more to shopping at the Delaware beaches than outlets and beach boutiques. Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, Milton, Millsboro and Dagsboro are filled with antique shops, vintage markets and thrift stores where half the fun is not knowing what you’re going to find.
From three floors of antiques to architectural salvage, vintage clothing, furniture, records and $5 thrift-store surprises, these are 10 of our favorite antique stores in Delaware within easy reach of Rehoboth Beach.
If you’re staying at Canalside Inn, save this list for a cloudy beach day, or make treasure hunting the reason for the trip.
One note before you go: hours at small antique and thrift shops change with the season and the weather. We’ve listed current hours and phone numbers for each shop below, but it’s always worth a quick call or a look at the Google listing before you drive out.

If you love a true treasure hunt, start here. Black Cat Antiques fills a large, multi-level historic building in downtown Millsboro with vendor booths and display cases. You’ll find everything from glassware, jewelry and vintage kitchenware to records, books, toys, collectibles, artwork and pop-culture finds.
This is not a 15-minute stop. Give yourself time to explore all the floors, and don’t forget the basement.

Jayne’s Reliable feels less like walking into a store and more like entering a treasure-hunting compound. The main building, outbuildings and outdoor areas are filled with vintage furniture, architectural salvage, garden pieces, art, unusual décor and things you probably weren’t looking for until you saw them.
It’s one of the most memorable shopping experiences in Southern Delaware.

Treasure Hunter Tip: This is the one shop on the list you can genuinely waste a trip on. Jayne’s is only open Friday through Sunday, so don’t swing by on a Tuesday hoping to get lucky.

Make an afternoon of this one.
Located in historic downtown Milton, The Mercantile is a two-story marketplace with around 50 individual vendors offering antiques, vintage finds, furniture, jewelry, art, clothing, records, collectibles and gifts.
Because every vendor has a different style, each little section feels like opening another treasure chest.
Afterward, walk around downtown Milton and grab lunch or a drink nearby.

This is one to add to the list if you really enjoy antiquing. Heritage Antiques Market is a large, multi-vendor market with roughly 48 dealers and thousands of square feet to explore.
The selection can include furniture, vintage kitchenware, jewelry, ceramics, books, toys, art, collectibles and sports memorabilia. With dozens of dealers under one roof, there’s plenty to dig through.

Pieces on Main combines old and new beautifully. The shop is located inside a historic downtown Dagsboro building dating to the late 1800s, and the original floors, counters and shelving add to the experience.
Inside you’ll find vintage treasures, furniture, home décor, gifts and unique decorative pieces.
Even better: it’s a two-minute walk from Jayne’s Reliable, and both are open Friday through Sunday. Pair them and turn Dagsboro into a single-stop treasure hunt.

It’s also close enough to downtown Lewes that you can combine it with lunch and a stroll along Second Street.

Now we’re going from antiques to a true thrift hunt.
New Life carries donated furniture, household goods, clothing, books, puzzles, accessories and plenty of unexpected finds. Inventory changes constantly, which means the only way to know what they have is to go look.
There’s also a great reason to shop here: New Life is operated by the Lewes Rehoboth Association of Congregations, with proceeds supporting community programs and organizations throughout the area.

If you’re staying in Rehoboth, Ocean Blue is an easy stop to work into your day. It’s also the only shop on this list you can reach without leaving town.
This nonprofit thrift shop offers a changing selection of clothing, household items, décor and other secondhand finds in a smaller, organized shopping environment.
This is exactly the type of place where stopping regularly pays off. The inventory you see today may be completely different the next time you visit.

Unlike a traditional clothing-focused thrift store, Habitat ReStore specializes in donated furniture, home furnishings, building materials and other items for the home. It’s especially fun if you’re decorating a beach house, tackling a DIY project or looking for a piece you can refinish yourself.

The name pretty much says it all.
This family-owned Lewes shop offers a more curated treasure-hunting experience, mixing vintage and antique furniture, home pieces and collectibles with newer gifts and coastal décor.
It’s a particularly good stop if you want something distinctive for your home but don’t necessarily want to spend hours digging through a giant antique mall.

🏆 If You Only Have Time for Three
For the full Southern Delaware treasure-hunting experience, we’d choose:
- Black Cat Antiques for the sheer amount of stuff to explore.
- Jayne’s Reliable for the experience, salvage and unexpected finds.
- The Mercantile at Milton for the combination of shopping and a visit to charming downtown Milton.
But that’s the fun of antiquing and thrifting: the “best” store is usually the one where you happen to find your treasure.
Two Routes to Plan Your Day Around
One of our favorite things about living at the Delaware beaches is how quickly you can go from the ocean to historic small towns and country roads.
North route (any day of the week): Coffee in Rehoboth, then Ocean Blue on your way out of town, up to Heritage Antiques Market and The Brush Factory in Lewes, then inland to The Mercantile at Milton. Lunch in downtown Lewes or Milton.
South route (Friday to Sunday only): Head toward Dagsboro for Jayne’s Reliable and Pieces on Main, which sit within a couple of minutes of each other, then on to Black Cat Antiques in Millsboro. This is the bigger haul but it only works on a weekend.
Stop for lunch along the way and leave some empty space in the car. You may need it.
And remember: antique and thrift inventory changes constantly. If you see something you love, don’t count on it being there next weekend.
