After purchasing the Canalside Inn in 2019, we have had ample time to test out our local options for breakfast and brunch. In no particular order, here are our team’s favorite places to grab a bite in Rehoboth Beach Delaware. When you check them out let them know we sent you!
10 Rehoboth Ave
Egg has a delicious breakfast and lunch menu that is served from open to close! They offer a wide range of options including eggs benedicts, breakfast burritos, crepes, French toast, grits, and sandwiches!
Also, for brunches over 21, Egg has all of the classic breakfast beverages as well as some of their own specialties, check out their drink menu for more!
The menu features great accommodating options for people who follow gluten-free and paleo diets. The best part is, their outdoor patio is pet-friendly, and right around the corner from Canalside Inn!
4 Wilmington Ave
The Royal Treat is an ice cream parlor that also serves breakfast! It’s well renowned in the community and has been around for 40 years. Family-owned and run, it’s a perfect place to bring your family and your sweet tooth!
Happy customers rave about their Italian French toast, hash browns, pancakes, and of course ice cream sundaes and floats. This is a great place to combine breakfast and dessert in one or come back later for a treat!

Rise Up Coffee Roasters is a café with a cult-like local following, being that they provide the whole package! Come in and explore their endless options of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and they even have a full bar for 21+ customers.
Stop by and grab a pastry or breakfast burrito along with your coffee, hot chocolate, or smoothie. For those busy mornings, they offer easy online ordering to skip the line! If you love your latte, they even have coffee beans to take home with you. We especially love their pet-friendly outdoor seating right by Canalside Inn!!
Crystals Restaurant, only a short walk over the Rehoboth’s beautiful canal bridge, features a wide variety of egg options including benedicts, breakfast quesadillas, huevos rancheros, and you can even create your own omelets!
If you’re craving something sweet, their French toast and waffles will hit the spot! If you’re in more of a lunch mood, their menu has an entire page dedicated to sandwiches. Their menu is also vegetarian-friendly and provides gluten-free options as well!
Crystal’s holds a special place in the hearts of our team at Canalside Inn because it’s where our owners, Bryan & Kristen Deptula ate breakfast the morning after their Rehoboth Beach wedding!
Are you an egg enthusiast? Then Robinhood’s is the place for you. The restaurant specializes in eggs and omelets in every way you can imagine! On the sweeter side, they also specialize in hot cakes and French toast with all of the classic sides. For adults, an “extra-large” Bloody Mary or mimosa is only $6!!!
